Introduction: Female sexual dysfunction FSD is a common problem that may be encountered in the interruption of normal sexual functioning in the sexual response cycle. Aim: The aim of this trial was to evaluate the effectiveness of VES in women with FSD without a predominant pelvic floor disorder or urinary incontinence. VES treatment was administered using a vaginal probe. The probe was inserted, and a medium-frequency 50 Hz alternating current was administered for a duty cycle of 5 seconds on followed by a 5-second rest. Results show that in the VES group, there was an improvement in total score and FSFI domains that improved including arousal, desire, orgasm, and satisfaction. Similarly, control group domains that improved were desire, arousal, and orgasm.

Effect of vaginal electrical stimulation on female sexual functions: a randomized study
Female sexual dysfunction, often characterized by an inability to orgasm, affects a large number of women. However, scientists may now have stumbled upon an effective and noninvasive treatment for this condition: neuromodulation. Currently, there are few treatments for female sexual dysfunction, and these have generally been ineffective. Bruns and colleagues found that stimulating one particular spot — an area close to the tibial nerve found in the ankle — helps treat bladder dysfunction. It is unclear why placing electrodes on the ankle helps stimulate the pelvic area, but the team believes that the nerves that spread to the foot may interact, in the region of the spinal cord, with nerves that reach the pelvic area. This, the scientists say, may mean that synaptic routes overlap, and the electrical stimulation therefore comes to benefit the pelvic organs.
11 Things to Know About Erotic Electrostimulation
The pelvic floor muscles work together to keep the urinary and bowel systems working smoothly. Sometimes, the pelvic floor muscles need strengthening and toning. There are a number of different techniques that can be used, including VES. First, lubricant is applied to a small sensor, which is then placed inside the vagina.
Erotic electrostimulation abbreviated erotic e-stim and also known as electrosex is a sexual practice involving the application of electrical stimulation to the nerves of the body, with particular emphasis on the genitals , using a power source such as a TENS , EMS , violet wands , or made-for-play units for purposes of sexual stimulation. Electrostimulation has been associated with BDSM activities, and erotic electrostimulation is an evolution of that practice. Electrostimulation, in general, can cause tissue damage or even death if misused. The international standard on the basic safety of medical nerve and muscle stimulators advises "that stimulation should not be applied across or through the head, directly on the eyes, covering the mouth, on the front of the neck, especially the carotid sinus , or from electrodes placed on the chest and the upper back or crossing over the heart". It imposes the following limits on the output parameters of stimulators for therapeutic purposes :.
